Frequently asked questions

How accurate is an estimate?

Every result is an informational estimate based on the details and photos you provide. It is not a quote, diagnosis, insurance valuation, or guarantee. A repair professional must inspect the vehicle before work begins.

Where are my saved cases?

Cases shown in My cases are saved on this device and do not automatically sync to another device. If you publish a case, CrashPricer creates a separate server-side case and marketplace request for your account. You may also explicitly import local case details after signing in; that import does not upload the local photos.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting a case in My cases removes its local copy and locally stored photos from this device. It does not delete a case or marketplace request previously imported or published to your account. You can cancel an open marketplace request. To permanently delete your account and its associated server and device data, open Settings and choose Delete account.

What happens to uploaded photos?

Photos in My cases are stored on this device. Photos submitted for analysis are temporarily uploaded to our backend and may be processed by the configured AI provider; the backend removes the input files after processing finishes. Marketplace photos are uploaded only when you turn on photo sharing while publishing, and those selected photos become visible to repair shops for that request. Avoid faces, documents, number plates, or other information you do not want processed or shared.

How do repair offers work?

Publishing a saved case is optional. Repair shops can review the details you choose to share and send a price, repair time, earliest start date, and message. You can compare offers, cancel an open request, or accept one offer. Contact details are revealed only to you and the accepted repair shop after acceptance.

How do notifications work?

Signed-in users receive offer updates in the in-app inbox, with live banners while the app is open. If you allow device notifications, CrashPricer can also send push notifications for marketplace updates while the app is closed. You can change device-notification permission in your device settings. The alert switch in Settings controls in-app banners only; updates remain available in the inbox so you do not miss a decision.

How do I manage camera, photos, and location?

CrashPricer asks for camera or photo-library access only when you capture or choose an image, and for location only when you use nearby repair shops. You can deny a request or change permission later in your device settings. Core vehicle details and manual damage entry can still be used without location access.
